Answer to a prayer we didn't even pray ...

Mark just called me from work and told me that he won a $75 Shur Save Gift card at the work Christmas party! With all the holiday travel expenses, gifts, and starting in 2 weeks we have to start paying the full co-pay ($50 every 30 days ) for the pills I have to take, plus co-pays for 2 dr visits the week after C.mas, etc, I had been worried about where we were gonna get grocery money for the next couple of weeks. I had not even prayed about it, but our great God knows what we need before we even have to ask! What a wonderful Christmas gift!

Making Cookies With Gramma Musser

I think this was right after he dumped part of a can of baking powder in the dough! Oh the joys of baking with kiddos!

The "Master Chef" the one who "pulled it all together! LOL

Jacob's First Christmas Presents of 2009

He loved sticking the gift bag on his head and walking around. I was sitting at the kitchen table, when he walked up beside me, pulled the bag off his head and said, "did I scare you mommy?"
We went to Jacob's Granparent's house to spend the day and Alex brought him a gift from Uncle David, Aunt Dawn and Alex. He thought that was just wonderful! He got a special puzzle where each piece is a book, a "Spot" book and a little stuffed C.mas "Spot" the dog, a Bible story book, and a little set of Nativity finger puppets! He loved them all- thanks guys! Showing me his finger puppets!

Opening the gifts!

He was so excited to get to open a present!

OH WHAT A GLORIOUS DAY! : ) : ) : )

Celebrating the second day in a row without a hint of morning sickness! Could this finally be the end???????

Jacob's House

The other day I needed to entertain Jacob so I could get some things done, so I made him a little house to play in , using a sheet and kitchen chairs. he loved it!He wanted the side open so he could see the Christmas tree, so got out a little one from my C.mas totes and he decorated it for his house.

Ultrasound

Scheduled to go for the ultrasound to determine how far along I actually am, on Tuesday the 29th at 11:15am. Please pray for me. I am really dreading it!I had requested the transvaginal ultrasound, instead of the trans abdominal because with the first you have to have an empty bladder and with the other you have to drink 46oz. of water 1 hr prior to the appt. The dr thinks I am too far along for them to be able to see everything they need to unless they do the transabdominal one. The nurse said she would call and have them double slot my appt so I can not start drinking until I get there and then she said she'd have them keep checking me so I dont have to sit there in agony, but i'm still dreading it. The last one was so bad I cried the whole time I was on the table. It's the kind of thing you want to be able to enjoy, not be in agonizing pain the whole time! Please pray that everything will go smoothly!(and that i'll get a nice Dr, not a grumpy one!) : )

Jacob's Heart

When we got back from the Dr, Mark was all excited and wanted to show Jacob the video of the baby's heart. He didn't show much interest till we got home. He wanted to see it again, so I showed it to him and explained that it was the baby's heart beating. All evening he has wanted to watch it over and over, and he keeps asking me, "Mommy do you want to hear my heart beeping?"

Prenatal Appointment!

I had my first bout of prenatal testing today. We had a pleasant surprise - we actually got to hear the heartbeat! The Dr said that it's very rare to be able to hear it this early in pregnancy! She thinks I may be 3-4 weeks farther along than we'd thought! I have to schedule an ultrasound in the next couple of weeks to see if she's right! We may end up with a June baby instead of July! I also had some bloodwork done. That's wasn't very pleasant, but it wasn't as bad as I'd thought it would be!

Too many hours in the day! !

I had know idea how different it would be going into pregnancy for the second time! It doesn't matter how sick you are, how utterly exhausted you are, it is impossible to catch a wink of sleep! I have quickly learned that even though Jacob will entertain himself for hours, even though he will watch cartoon clips on youtube while I take a long shower and wash my hair, even though he will lay under the tree playing with ornaments all afternoon, the second that he sees my eyes close, everything is an emergency that I simply cannot miss! UUUUggggghhhh!
We have been trying to explain to him that he cannot jump on my stomach a play rough like he used to because there's a baby in my tummy and he might hurt it. Mark has also told him on several occasions that "mommy has a baby in her tummy and doesn't feel good" so he needs to be good while he's at work! Yesterday afternoon, he got out our big quilt and layed it on the living room floor. He then layed down on it, and rolled around moaning and groaning, saying, "oh the baby in my tummy hurts! the baby in my tummy is sick!" It was pretty humorous, but i'm hoping that he's exaggerating slightly! I dont THINK I am that bad about complaining! Oh the joys and delights of having a toddler in the house!

Entertaining Grampy and Grammy

Grampy and Grammy came up while the guys were skinning deer, so Jacob felt the need to entertain them. Grampy was trying to fix Dad M's computer chair and Jacob was "trying to help!" He kept jumping up and down on it and trying to slide down it.

Then he was convinced that if he tried hard enough his little cowboy boots would fit on Grampy's foot! He kept trying to pick Grampy's foot up and stick it down in the boot.
He had to show Grammy how to do the Noah's Ark puzzle, because apparently she didn't know how to do it right!

He found a placemat with the presidents on it so he had to show them. He kept calling them " all the little men."Grammy would say the name of the president and he would try to repeat it. She pointed to one and asked him who it was, and he said, "that's Ho-ho!" (santa) The next one was "Papa Waterman!"

My goofy little guy!

My Mom and Dad bought Jacob a new package of underwear and mailed them to him. He calls them his "unnderpants!" The other night I was really feeling miserable so I was curled up on the couch with a blanket, and he decided to entertain me! : )

December 4, 2009

Spending the day with my little man! We're trying to get things around so we can go see the Penn View Choir tonight! They will be at our church in Tunkhannock!Lots of stuff to do before then though! Jacob has Christmas ornaments all over the living room! We still didn't get our tree decorated, just the lights on so far! We're hoping to try for tomorrow! That's what happens when Mark gets a deer on the last day of his vacation!
By the way, Mark and I have new names- He is "Daddy Mark Musser" and I am " Mommy Mike Musser!" The other night Mark tapped Jacob on the chin and told him his name was "Jacob Mark Musser!" Jacob turned around, tapped Mark on the chin and said, "and you're Daddy Daddy Daddy! "

Mark's Doe

He was so worried that Daddy was "hurting" the deer. It's hard to explain to a 2 year old, that it's dead and doesn't feel a thing! It was cute though.

Great Day and CVS Bargains!

I spent today shopping. It was actually quite relaxing, and not as stressful as it normally would have been. It was really warm out and beautiful, so we took or time and walked alot! I got some great deals at CVS- note to self, next time make sure you have the same CVS card! I didn't even know I had 2 different ones! Luckily, Mark's aunt was working, so she over-rode it and gave me the ECB's off anyway, but to use the ECB's from this time,I have to use my old card, which is yucky! At least I learned my lesson! Jacob was very good, and only whined a little towards the end, but then Aunt Arlene bought him a Reese's peanut butter egg, so he was happy! ( and covered in chocolate) What fun it would be to be a kid again for a day! (Oh yeah , actually she bought me one too! LOL!
