The Night from .... Someplace very unpleasant!!!

Sorry for the non-existant blogging lately. The blog will NOT upload any pictures again for some reason, trying to work it out. Dont know if it's my new camera or if it's the site. Very annoying, whichever it is!
As for our life, let's just say yesterday was one of "those days!" Everytime I thought nothing else could happen, it just had to prove me wrong!
I had alot of stuff to do and Jacob was being a bugger, so I made him go in and sit on my bed to watch a movie. I checked down the hall from time to time and saw him wiggling around but he was just sitting there so I kept working. He came running out with a paper full of holes- all proud of himself for mangling the thing. I went flying down the hall and what he had been doing so quietly on the bed was tearing into shreds all of my photography paperwork. These were papers that I had hand written while doing hours upon hours of research over about a month's time: pose ideas, tips from other photographers, notes I have taken while watching the Tutorial photography lessons, lists of props I need, literally everything imaginable! I was devastated. While reeling from that I happened to look down at my brand new $44 bedspread that I LOVE, and saw where he hand mangled the bits of torn paper poking them full of holes with my favorite pen, he had done it on the comforter and it has ink scribbles all over it! I disciplined him and made him go to bed, then ran out to the computer to try and type as much as I could before I forgot what was on the papers, and kept hearing a funny noise like someone moving around in the house. I thought Jacob was up, so I stood up to tell him to go back to bed. No-one was there. It happened several times and I began to get concerned. Suddenly heard what sounded like a gunshot, and jumped out of my chair with my heart in my throat just in time to see garbage landing all over the floor and red stuff flying everywhere! About 2am Fri. morning I had opened a triple sized can of Prego spaghetti sauce to make a pizza. I forgot it on the table. We left as soon as we got up Friday morning and did not return home until really late Friday night, and went straight to bed. Saturday morning we got up to leave and I noticed the jar on the table and it looked a little funny so I threw it in the bottom of the trash. Yesterday, the trash was almost full so I had it setting in the kitchen to throw a few more things in so I could send it out with the trash pickup today. The sauce must have been fermenting and the jar exploded, blowing up the garbage bag, throwing garbage and sauce everywhere. I never thought of 45 oz of sauce being that much- I learned differently! Let me back-track a little and say, Saturday night into Sunday, Mark suddenly decided that he wanted to sleep in our new bed that night, so he brought everything out of our bedroom- yard sale bags, boxes and piles, piles of kids too big/too small clothes I had been sorting through, all odds n ends stuff from the room and dumped it here and there down the hall, behind the table in the kitchen and in the living room. Since we were gone all weekend, sorting through this stuff was the project I had been working on when this all started! The sauce covered my freshly washed dishes, blew down the hall all over the dirty clothes pile, covered bags of stuff for Salvation army and yard sale stuff, coated the entire underside and part of top of the table, rungs and seats of chairs, the walls, my entire box of photography props, canned goods and food on the shelf, jacob's shoes, some of Mark's hanging up clothes i had out here on hangers, a pile of books I had set by the couch to go back to the library next trip to town, all over the couch itself, the wii controllers, tv, playstation- thankfully the old one- not the new one! Literally everything in 3 rooms of the house was plastered! I was shaking so bad from the scare that I sat down on the chair for a second and Jacob started screaming and came running down the hall where he slipped on the sauce and fell, was so freaked out he wouldn't just hold still and kept trying to get up which made him keep falling until he was plastered head to toe with sauce. I picked him up and carefully made my way back across the floor to try and clean him up, finally got him cleaned up and back to sleep on the chair, grabbed a roll of paper towels and Danika started screaming in the bedroom, so I went in to get her, she kept spitting up like crazy and Screaming every time I tried to lay her down. Luckily Mark was on his way home by this time so I held her and waited for him. He got home and held her a little then put both of the kids to bed, we got out rags, mop bucket, mop, paper towels,etc and started scrubbing everything and then the power kept going off every 5 minutes! Never did get my photography stuff typed up which means starting from scratch, I was able to salvage most of my props with a good cleaning, even this afternoon the house still spells badly of spoiled spag sauce :( Ick and I am still finding it plastered on things that I didn't even SEE last night! It has been a NIGHTMARE!!!!

Why is it that each time Heaven grows sweeter our hearts have to break? Mourning the loss of a very, very dear friend.I had known her my whole life and she was the one person I could talk to about everything. I should be rejoicing for her, but right now it's too hard to see the happy thru the hurt.

I asked Jacob if he wanted some strawberries. He asked me what kind they are. I told him the red kind, not knowing exactly what he meant by that. He scowled up at me and informed me, "I wanted the blue ones!"

I was in the bedroom talking to Mark and Jacob was out here yelling trying to get my attention. When I came out, he was sitting here with his hands held up in the air yelling, " Mom mom! I have hair growing in my nose, but dont worry it's not the kind that chickens have, it's the ones like Daddy grows in his nose!"

Getting busy! Didn't get near enough sleep last night. Danika kept waking up every 5 minutes and crying, and since i'm the only person who knows how to take care of her, i'm slightly wiped out! Now, I have a lasagna dinner to cook for 20+ people tomorrow, complete with dessert! I don't mind helping out- the people are out of commission, 1 just had a baby, 1 just had knee replacement surgery, 1 is basically dying, 2 have been very sick for over a month now, so I like helping out I just wish it could've came at a better time when I could've actually enjoyed doing it instead of being exhausted from being sick! Luckily it's only a 3 dish meal, lasagna, garlic bread and blueberry cream muffins with vanilla glaze. All i have to do is cook it and they will finish it tomorrow!
Jacob and Danika are laying in the recliner eating a brownie and watching Thomas. So glad my computer and camera are functioning again! : )

She's finally arrived! After an awful 2 weeks dealing with horrible sickness and heart-wrenching family situations, finally a bright spot!!!! We're finally on our way to what I hope will be a successful business! I have spent countless hours researching, watching gobs of movie reviews, I read through 102 pages of customer review, when I was too sick and tired to sit at the desk any more Mark would take over and very carefully search with my guidance and she's finally here! We've had alot of fun playing tonight! : ) Can't wait for the rest of the accessories to arrive! It's show time!

I am very happy! I finally solved Danika's food issue! I have have been searching for something that she can feed herself, so I can have a few minutes here and there to do stuff, or I can actually sit down and eat a meal with the family, instead of eating by myself after feeding the baby!We gave her a biter biscuit, which is a rock hard biscuit that babies are supposed to chew/suck on and it turns to mush little by little- she bit it in half and choked so bad we were grabbing the phone to call and ambulance when it finally went on down. We tried cheerios, she couldn't chew them. We tried little pieces of bread, they got gummed up and she'd choke on them. Finally mom told me to try Ritz crackers because they mostly just crumble, and it wasn't likely she'd choke on them- we gave her one and she promtply stuffed the ENITRE thing into her mouth. Well tonight I was sitting here and happened to glance over to the groceries i'd just bought and solved my own problem- FRUITY PEBBLES!!!!! I dumped a handful on the high chair tray and she loves them! They are tiny enough that she can eat them without me worrying about her choking. Also, they're so thin that they turn to mush before she needs to chew them! It's so funny- she picks them up one tiny piece at a time and carefully puts them in her mouth! I will upload pictures as soon as my computer cooperates with my camera. (it's having a breakdown)

Jacob asked me where his new Papa is. I told him that he doesn't have a new Papa. I said, "you only have Papa Waterman, Papa Musser, Poppy Sherman..." and before I could add Grampy, he informed me, that no, he only has 2 papas because Poppy sherman is MY grampa! A few minutes later I heard a noise, looked and he has his face buried in the couch cushions sobbing.When I asked him why he was crying, he told me that he's crying because I took his Poppy Sherman away! He keeps crying and crying and telling me that I took Poppy Sherman away, but I better not take or steal his other 2 papas too! He cries, then looks up at me and glares! Does finding this quite funny make me a horrible parent? : ) I dont know where in the world he comes up with this stuff!

Danika had her first well-baby check today. She was so cute and so good! She now weighs 11pounds 4ounces and is 22 inches long, which means she has gained over a lb in 1 week! With average being 50, she is in the 90th percentile for her height and 95th for her weight. I have no idea what this means, but that's what Dr Pete told me. She did get her Hepatitis vaccination, which she was NOT impressed with. She screamed hysterically and every time the Dr came into her view after that she'd scream again! We got home and she threw up majorly bad- soaked me and herself from head to toe, continued to scream for about 20 minutes and now both of them are sleeping!

I think it's pretty miserable that all 3 of us have to be sick on Jacob's birthday! : ( Spent the day cuddled up on either the chair or the bed in our bvd's trying to keep cool! I hate feeling rotten when it's so nice out! He gave ME a nice birthday surprise though! I got up, called my sis and went in the bathroom with Jacob, then went in his room for awhile so he could "show me" his toys, and when I came out I discovered that when Mark left him up alone for about 1 1/2 hours this morning while I was sleeping, he had trashed the living room with toys and dumped almost 1/2 a box of cheerios all over the living room rug! It took forever to get it cleaned up, esp. with being sick! I think I need to learn to be more of a light sleeper! I think I would feel alot better if I could get a solid night's sleep! Oh the American dream!

A couple of weeks ago, Jacob went into Tractor Supply Co. overtown with his grandparents. They saw some bunnies, and who knows what all else, and now he talks about it all the time and is always begging to go. Now he has started playing "Going to Tractor Too-ply!" Tonight my kitchen was where he stuffed his purchases!He "bought" his bike, numerous ride-on toys, a box of cheerios and one of spaghetti, a squirt-gun, an infant bathtub and bathseat, along with alot of other toys! By the time he got done with his little shopping trip, I could barely walk through my kitchen! Last night Jacob dragged out a tote full of toys right in front of the bathroom door. Mark told him that he needed to pick them up and put them in the tote, and instead Jacob climbed inside the tote and reached over the side to pick up the toys. And, he seemed to think he was pretty funny!

We are now at 22 weeks! The babyshould be about 7-8 inches from crown to rump, and according to the books, should weigh about 12 ounces, but seeing as how it weighed 11 at my ultrasound on the 15th, i'm thinking NOT!!! Heartburn is here in full swing, it moved in overnight a few nights ago and has hardly left since. So bad at times I cant even sleep at night!
: ( not looking forward to nearly 4 months more of this! Don't know how much I weigh yet, as my next appt isn't until the 18th. Anyway, that's the newest update! : )

I bought an infant tub on Monday when I went to town and Jacob is just fascinated with it! He calls it his boat and sits in it all the time. He pretends to sleep in in, which simply involves taking off his shoes! LOL When he "wakes up," he announes, "I'm awake now!" and puts his shoes back on! My little ham!

Once again I had a brain fart and loaded all the pictures backwards. These are the potatoes that Jacob helped me make for supper last night. He has become quite the little helper and loves to help get dinner ready for Daddy. Setting the table. It was funny- he got out chocolate mik for himself, but got out the regular milk for Daddy! : )

Had horrible heartburn so bad it was about making me sick all night. Last looked at the clock a few minutes after 4am. Jacob woke up screaming around quarter of 5. Screamed hystercially like he was in pain or something. Couldn't get out of him what was wrong. Offered drinks, stories, candy- even offered to call and talk to Papa, but nothing would soothe him. Went that way till about 6am, with Daddy and mommy both near tears, before he finally started to calm down. Still dont know what was wrong, but this mommy was tired to the point of exhaustion, by 2am, and now here I am!
This is a picture I took of him a few minutes ago: Mark was eating some coffee icecream and Jacob thought he wanted some, so he had to sit in his "boat" with it. He never did eat any. Watching Donald Duck cartoons with Daddy, kept him occupied for about 2 minutes before he started crying like crazy again,

He had to have Daddy's feet by him.

My favorite- Snugabyes! Gayle bought me 2 when I had Jacob and I loved them. I figured these could be used for boy or girl.

The journal my MIL bought me. I had one for Jacob, and I had looked and looked with no luck, and she found this online so she got it.I sat down and filled it , "up to date" last night. : )

This afternoon, Jacob told Mark that he wanted to "open" my belly. I asked him what was in my belly that he wanted, to which he responded, " Candy canes, and socks!" We laughed about it, then tonight, hours later he was talking to his Uncle Mike on the phone and we told him to tell Mikey what was in mommy's belly, never imagining he'd say the same thing, when he replied, "Candy canes, socks, and marshmallows!"

My sister Mindy sent him a box of Valentine's Day candy in the mail and it got here Friday. Here he is eating a chocolate monkey.

This is the chocolate monkey, with nibbles all the way around him. I noticed him this way, sitting on the computer desk after Jacob went to bed and it struck me funny. He literally nibbled all the way around the outside!

The other night Jacob kept crying and wanting to be held. I sat him up on the counter by me, so I could wash a few dishes. He put this hat on and I just thought he looked so adorable!

I never got to pick out any baby furniture when I had Jacob, as everything I had was either bought for me, or loaned to me second hand. So, this was the first baby "necessity we ever got to pick out together! Jacob is so excited about it. He keeps telling me that Papa wants to put the little baby in "his" seat! I love just seeing it sit here! I may just leave it there on the end of the couch till July! LOL

Baby Update

Had my ultrasound today. Everything is perfectly on schedule with my duedate, to the exact day! Dr Paglia said the baby looks perfect and that I should relax and enjoy the rest of my pregnancy! They said the baby weighs 11 ounces., just slightly more than Jacob did at about 1 week earlier gestation.
This is the picture of the baby's foot, looking at the bottom of the foot: This is the baby's spine (on top- the baby is facing down), and ribcage.

This is the baby, but I can honestly say, I'm not sure what parts (other than obviously the face and body) not sure if it's front or back, but she did comment that the baby was keeping it's face against the wall of the uterus.
